Linguistic commentary from a guy who takes things too literally

Parts-of-Speech Refresher

Posted by Neal on August 10, 2004

My old friend Greg sent me the link for this funny clip. It talks all about the “f-word,” expounding on its many uses. Sure, you’ve heard people do this before, but this clip actually gets every part of speech right. When they give a noun example, it really is a noun. Same for verb, adjective, and varieties of adverb. The spelling’s not great, but it’s still a funny and accurate (and obscene) refresher on the different parts of speech. Whoever wrote it had a better grip on the relevant facts than that guy I was talking about a couple of posts ago!
